Granular Synthesis & Unsupervised Synthesis Programming.
This research paper defines an architecture for high quality real time granular synthesis with a high emphasis on musicality and synchronous streams of granular audio data.
The architecture defined has a wide range applications and has served, although with a lot of updates, in popular commercial applications.
It also explores machine learning in a musical context, and the potential for machine learning to aid in the automatic programming of synthesizer parameters.
